We are so excited to have Joy a part of our first ever Springtime Craft Market! Join us Sunday, April 21st, from from 11am to 4pm, in front of the Fort Collins Food Coop on Mountain Avenue in Old Town Fort Collins. Here’s a little bit about the work Joy does and a sneak peek of what she’ll be showing:
My name is Joy Fiordalisi. I am a jewelry designer and mixed media artist. Each piece of jewelry is handcrafted using silver, semi precious stones, river rocks, and other found objects. The mixed media artwork is an evolution of my love of photography. I incorporate my photos with textured, collaged surfaces. I also have created magnets with glass marbles and magazine pages suitable for my younger patrons. Recently, I, with my boyfriend, made recycled bottle cap candles for gifts this year. They were so fun and went over so well, we decided to make another batch for the Freedom Market. Each tiny candle burns for about 1.5 hours.
My ultimate wish is to, one day, bring art to everyone. I am working on opening a community art space. A place where anyone can find their inner artist. I envision an open space with lots of light, tables with jars of assorted pencils, paints, and other art supplies. I would like to offer lots of workshops in many facets as well as open space and time for individuals to experiment and create on their own.
And while I work to realize my dream of small business ownership, I continue work on my Etsy store @ joyfiordalisi.etsy.com and expand to new art shows each year. I can also be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org. Any questions or special orders are welcome. I am very excited to be a part of the Freedom Market this year. See you all then.
